Xiaomi did launch 3 new phones the global variants of the Redmi Note 9 the Note 9 Pro as well as the Mi Note 10 Lite now the global variant of the Redmi Note 9 Pro that’s basically the same as the Indian variant of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max the other 2 phones well they’re completely new so let’s talk about them let’s now get started.
Redmi Note 9
So let’s kick things off with the Redmi Note 9 we have a class sandwich Design here with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 to the front as well as the back similar to the Redmi Note 9 pro and 9 pro-Max we also have a square camera bump that holds 4 cameras more on those in a bit below that we have the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner honestly I prefer this placement over the side-mounted implementation that we have on the Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro turning it around we have the first big change here the 6.67-inch display of the bigger Note 9 pros have been replaced with a smaller 6.53 inch IPS LCD panel the punch hole has also shifted from the center to the top left where it now holds a 13 Megapixel selfie camera so a bit of a downgrade compared to the 16-megapixel camera on the note 9 Pro Internally we have the Mediatek Helio G85 Running the show this is a New 12 nanometer chipset from MediaTek going by the naming scheme this should slot in between the G80 and G90 series of gaming focus chipsets from the company Redmi claims that we should see a significant jump in performance here when compared to the Snapdragon in 665 inside the previous generation Redmi note 8.
On the Memory side of things we are looking at 2 variants 1 with 3 Gb of Ram and 64 Gb of internal storage and another with 4 Gb of RAM and 128 Gb of internal storage there’s also room for added storage expansion through a microSD card slot the IR blaster is also retained and so is the 3.5 mm headphone jack we also might get to see NFC in some of the global variants powering all of this we have the same 5020 mAh Battery as we had seen in the Redmi Note 9 Pro Series but this time we have support for only 18 watts fast charging with the charging brick being included in the box.
Coming to the Cameras we have a primary 48-megapixel camera with an F 1.79 aperture an 8 megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel depth and macro senses And Micro Camera based on these specs they seem pretty similar to the camera setup that we have on the Redmi Note 9 pro.
Mi Note10 Lite
Moving along to the Mi Note 10 light like the Mi Note10 that came before it we have a curved 6.47 inch AMOLED panel here no punch holes either instead we have a waterdrop notch that holds the selfie camera Xiaomi has kept the thin bezels here leading to a screen to body ratio of over 90% of course since this is an AMOLED panel we also have an in-display fingerprint scanner moving on to the Specifications we have the same Snapdragon 730 G that we had seen with Mi note 10 that’s coupled with either 6 Gb 64 Gb or 8 Gb 128 Gb of Ram and internal storage respectively on the battery side of things we have a 5260 mAh Battery in here coupled with a 30-watt fast charger the Xiaomi claims can get the Mi Note 10 lite from 0 to100 in 64 Minutes till now the Mi note 10 Lite and Mi note 10 have been nearly identical from the design to the specs to even the display size.
but the Cameras are what sets these to apart gone as 108 Megapixel Samsung sensor instead the primary camera here suppose the New 64 megapixel Imx 686 sensor from Sony this no support for optical image stabilization here either moving on to the other cameras we have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide a 5-megapixel depth and finally a 2-megapixel macro sensor so pretty much an all-around step down in terms of camera prowess I mean I do wish Xiaomi had at least retain the telephoto camera in here
We also have the Redmi note 9 pro being launched for the global markets before it’s the same as the Indian note 9 Pro max the only difference seems to be that the global version comes with a downgraded 16-megapixel selfies snapper instead of the 32-megapixel selfie camera that we have on the Indian version so when can we expect these phones in India we don’t have any official confirmation from Redmi India yet but personally, I feel that the Redmi Note 9 would be making its way here pretty soon now as far as prices go U.S. price for the Redmi Note 9 is $199 converted that comes out to around 14,945 Indian rupees now given that the Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro costs 13,999 rupees and expect that they would price the redmi note 9 a little bit lower maybe something around 10 to 20,000 for that price it does seem like a pretty interesting device some may actually prefer the smaller screen and depending on how well the Mediatech G85 performs Redmi have a winner on their hands, of course, we also have the Redmi note 9 pro that starts from 269 dollars globally in India that’s the Redmi Note 9 pro max and it starts from 16,499 rupees
and finally, we have the Mi Note 10 Lite that is starting around 30000 Indian rupees now given that the Mi Note 10 never made it to India I think there’s a very slim chance of the Mi Note 10 lite making it here either anyway that about wraps it up for this quick little video to tell us which one of these three phones are you the most excited.
