Today we are going to talk about the Vivo v17 smartphone so guys The Vivo V17 smartphone is equipped with 32MP front camera, 48MP AI quad rear camera, 4,500mAh battery with 18W dual-engine fast charging technology (Type-C), in-display fingerprint, 16.36 cm (6.44) E3 super AMOLED FHD+ iView display, 8GB RAM, 128GB internal memory and much more.
Build & Design
Let’s talk about the Build & Design for this smartphone it weighs around 176 grams 8.5 4 millimeter is the thickness for this one at the back there’s the quad-camera module along with the dual-tone LED flash Vivo branding that is quite glossy and it comes with a polycarbonate body if you look carefully it comes in different colors the one we had was the midnight ocean one it also comes with a dedicated micro SD slot and the dispute on this one is a 6.44 inch full HD Plus display with the 3 Super AMOLED panel and Scott sensation UV protection it has one of the smallest punch hole Notch I have ever seen on any smartphone and the display quality was also pretty good at the bottom this is 3.5 mm jack along with the USB C port and the speaker grille for this one apart from that if you look closely there’s an N display fingerprint scanner on this one which is pretty fast in the face unlock on the smartphone is also really fast the display offers 100% DCI p3 color gamut and can filter out 42% of blue light.
Now let’s talk about the Specifications it comes to Qualcomm snapdragon 675 chipsets 8 Gb of RAM 128 GB of internal storage and I’d also suppose USB OTG has almost all of the sensors which are required for a great smartphone experience and personally I found that there are very few shortcomings in this smartphone but I felt that the chipset choice could definitely have been better it has a 4500 mAh battery which easily lasts throughout the day and if I talk about the read/write speed it’s around 500 megabytes per second and that’s pretty good for a normal day-to-day usage experience the cam to appear on this smartphone is limited and apart from that if we talk about the Antutu benchmark score it was around 2 lakh + which is good enough for snapdragon 675 the user experience is snappy courtesy of OneTouch OS 9.2 which is based on Android 9 Pie also has support for dock mode and a lot of other things personally I feel that they should have updated it to Android 10 right now it’s been a long time since Android 10 came out.
If I talk about the Gaming space it was able to play grand theft auto san, Andreas, on maximum possible settings and if you talk about PUBG you can play it with HD and high settings and easily get a good respectable framerate there but it would have been really better if there was a better chipset on this one in this particular price point it only lacks behind in terms of the chipset.
Now let’s talk about the Camera for this device it comes to the Quad camera module at the back 48 MB plus 8mp ultra-wide plus 2 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP macro sensor at the front is a 32-megapixel camera sensor in a very small punch hole notch it comes with super night selfie ported light effects ported Boki a are stickers postmaster AI make up so many different modes and all of those modes help you to take a lot of different pictures there’s also support for an extra digital zoom on this one I find that Vivos color science has improved over the past few smartphone launches and the macro mode on this one also is pretty refined and if I talk about fewer the things I found that the overall image quality was pretty good the ultra-wide sensor works fine in daylight but I think that in low-light conditions it might show some noise.
Now it’s time for a sound test the Sound was loud and clear but what I found was that there is no stereo speaker implementation on their smartphone apart from that I feel that it’s a very polished smartphone but the back is very much prone to smudges and scratches.
Release Date & Price
Retail for a price of around 22,990 Rupees and he’d be available from 17th of December it would come with a lot of offers from HDFC Bank ICICI bank credit card and a lot of other different offers as well.
So at the end, the question that arises is should you buy the Vivo 17 or not if somebody was looking for a great design great battery life of great camera experience and surely you can go for the Vivo 17 but if you’re somebody who’s looking for really hardcore performance at this price point then maybe you should not go for the smartphone because of the fact that the Qualcomm snapdragon 675 could have been slightly better they could have been a better chipset choice on this smartphone but apart from that a lot of other choices on this Smartphone do feel right to me and the display is class apart in this price segment.
